Football is back – and we're opening the season with a proper football night. Kickoff is 2:20 AM local time, almost three hours after we normally close. On any other night the lights would be off by then. For big NFL games we want to change that, which is why we're introducing our new Unlock Event concept.

NFL live in Wiesbaden – even in the middle of the night

If you're watching the NFL from Germany, you know the deal: the early Sunday games kick off at 7 PM local time and fit the evening perfectly, but the big ones – Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, the playoffs – start somewhere between 2 and 3 AM.

For a sports bar, a 2:20 AM kickoff means extra hours, extra staff and extra prep – without knowing whether five or fifty fans will show up.

That's exactly why we built the Unlock Event concept. Instead of cancelling late-night games by default or staying open all night regardless of demand, you as fans make the event happen.

How the Unlock Event works

For selected NFL games outside our regular hours we set up a dedicated event page where you can RSVP for free, with no strings attached. Every person you reserve for counts toward the shared goal.

🏈 20 guests: we open. Once at least 20 people have confirmed, NFL night is unlocked. We stay open for the game and show it live with sound in our sports bar.

🍔 40 guests: Gameday menu unlocked. If we hit 40 confirmations, we go one step further and prepare a dedicated Gameday menu or late-night food special.

The current RSVP count is displayed live on the event page. A reservation for four people counts as four confirmations.

What if we don't reach 20? Then the event doesn't take place – and everyone who signed up gets an email in good time. Reservations and entry are free, no deposit, no minimum spend.

We no longer have to guess whether a middle-of-the-night opening is worth it. Your reservations decide:

  • Enough interest, we open.
  • Big demand, we add a Gameday menu.
  • Not enough fans, everyone knows early.

This lets us offer more NFL live in Wiesbaden in the long run – even when US kickoff times work against German opening hours.
